Athanasia System Requirements for PC

Minimum and recommended PC specs published on Steam, and what each line actually tells you.

Quick answer

Steam lists modest Athanasia system requirements: Windows 7 or later, a 2.4 GHz dual-core CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or equivalent, DirectX 9.0 and 2 GB of storage at minimum. The recommended spec raises that to Windows 10, a GTX 750 or equivalent and DirectX 11. The memory lines read 4 MB and 8 MB, which is almost certainly a typo for GB.

Coverage: Published Steam requirements checked October 18, 2026. Requirements for Early Access may change before version 1.0; no independent benchmark was run for this page.

Minimum requirements

The minimum specification on the Steam page is: operating system Windows 7 or newer, processor 2.4 GHz dual core, graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or equivalent, DirectX version 9.0, and 2 GB of available storage. The memory line reads 4 MB RAM. The same page lists English as the supported language for interface, audio and subtitles.

These numbers describe the lowest configuration the developers list. They do not promise a specific frame rate or resolution. If your PC sits right at the minimum, expect to lower graphics settings and check the Steam discussions after launch for player reports.

Why the memory lines say MB

A 3D first-person game cannot run in 4 or 8 megabytes of system memory, and modern Windows needs far more than that just to start. The most likely reading is 4 GB minimum and 8 GB recommended, which matches the rest of the hardware listed. Most PCs that meet the graphics line will easily exceed 8 GB of memory anyway.

This is an interpretation, not an official correction. If the developers update the store page, the corrected values there take priority over this explanation. Store pages are sometimes corrected shortly before or after launch.

Platforms, language and Steam Deck

The official listing names Windows PC through Steam. English is listed for the interface, full audio and subtitles. Console versions are not announced in the official material collected for this wiki.

No Steam Deck verification status is claimed here. Before Early Access launches, there is no compatibility rating to report, so check the store page for a Deck badge once Valve has reviewed the game. Players may still report their own Deck results in the Steam discussions.

How to compare your PC with these specs

On Windows, open Settings, then System, then About to see your processor and installed RAM. Open the Device Manager and expand Display adapters to see your graphics card. Compare the graphics card first, since it is the main difference between the two specifications.

If your card is newer than a GTX 750, such as any GTX 10-series, RTX card, or a recent AMD Radeon, you are above the recommended line for graphics. Integrated graphics may struggle, but no benchmark was run for this guide, so treat that as general guidance only. Driver updates are also worth installing before the first launch.

Specs can change during Early Access

The Early Access section says level design, art assets and polish are still in progress. New art and areas can change performance, so the published requirements reflect the current plan rather than a final measurement. Updates during Early Access may raise or lower the demands on your hardware.

Recheck this page and the store listing before the full release, which the developers plan for the middle of 2027. The release date page on this wiki covers the schedule in more detail. The how-long-to-beat page explains what the Early Access scope means for playtime.
