The manhwa and web novel
Who Made Me a Princess began as a Korean web novel by Plutus and was adapted as a webtoon drawn by Spoon, both launching on Ridi on December 20, 2017. The Korean title is 어느 날 공주가 되어버렸다. English readers know it from Tappytoon and Tapas, and Seven Seas has printed volumes in North America since May 2023.
The webtoon placed fourth in AnimeJapan’s 2022 poll of comics fans most wanted animated, and fourth among completed comics in the 2024 Vertical Manga Award. The webtoon and novel endings differ, especially on romance. Both results reflect how popular the comic had become before the adaptation.
